Windows on ARMWhen Google launched its official Google Search app for Windows 8 a few weeks ago, we noted that the app was one of the few in the Windows Store that didn't support Windows RT. Today, the company has released an update to the app that solves that problem.

As noted on the Google Search Windows 8 page, the update allows the app to run on Windows RT. That means users of Microsoft's Surface tablet, as well as the Asus Vivo Tab RT and upcoming future Windows RT devices from Dell, Samsung and others, can go ahead and install the app. The new version of the app also reportedly has "more YouTube support", according to the notes. According to one of our commentators, this means the app now lets its users view YouTube videos inside the app for the first time.
