Samsung announced the Galaxy Book S back in August, and while it was supposed to ship in September, it's been delayed in most markets. Today, the company finally announced that you can pre-order the laptop, and it will ship next month.
The Galaxy Book S was the first PC announced with Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8cx Compute Platform, promising the power of an Intel Core i5. The only PC shipping with the chipset is Microsoft's own Surface Pro X, which has a slightly modified 8cx, called the Microsoft SQ1. The SoC has eight Kryo 495 cores, an Adreno 680 GPU, and a Snapdragon X24 LTE modem, which means that the laptop supports multi-gigabit download speeds.
